MACHINERY AND MACHINE GUARDING TRAINING PROGRAM

UNITED STATES NAVY; NAVAL SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENTAL TRAINING CENTER (NAVSAFENVTRACEN)

N00189-17-D-0012; PRIME FIVE-YEAR IDIQ CONTRACT

On 13 April 2017, Onésimus Defense was selected as the sole-awardee for this five
year IDIQ contract with the US Naval Safety and Environmental Training Center (NAVSAFENVTRACEN), headquartered in Norfolk, Virginia.  Fulfilling the requirements of this award, Onésimus Defense’s Safety Services Division will be providing the NAVSAFENVTRACEN with curriculum development, management and a cadre of professional instructors for the development, production and instruction of the US Navy’s Machinery and Machine Guarding Safety program of study.  Upon design completion and implementation, this course will serve as the US Navy's principal avenue by which Navy and Marine Corps OSH Specialists, Industrial Hygienists, Environmental Protection Specialists and Safety Engineers, receive the training and certifications required by OSHA and other regulatory agencies as it pertains to "machine guarding" and industrial safety in both afloat and ashore environments. This program represents Onésimus Defense's third multi-year prime contract award with the NAVSAFENVTRACEN.  We are honored to have been selected to provide these services and to continue our commitment to this prestigious organization as a long-term, value added partner.

40-HR FALL PROTECTION COMPETENT PERSONS TRAINING / CERTIFICATION / TOWER RESCUE AND RADOME RESCUE TRAINING PROGRAMS

FEDERAL AVIATION ADMINISTRATION (FAA)

BLANKET PURCHASE AGREEMENT (BPA); DTFAAC-17-A-00009;

On 18 January 2017, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) awarded Onésimus Defense a five-year Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) to provide their agency with comprehensive 40-hour Initial Competent Person/Tower Rescue courses of instruction; 24-hour Competent Person/Tower Rescue Refresher Training courses of instruction; and 24-hour Radome Rescue/Authorized Rescuer training and certification.  This BPA is the result of an ongoing partnership between the FAA and Onésimus Defense that began in 2015 when Onésimus Defense subject matter experts answered an urgent requirement to provide these services at a moment's notice; performing with distinction.  Since, Onésimus Defense has been honored to be the provider-of-choice for these services.  These multi-day training evolutions provide the men and women of the FAA with the necessary skill sets required to safely and effectively perform their duties associated with communications systems, radomes, and other NAVAID systems that are unique to the FAA.  For the past two years, we have been honored to be associated with the men and women of the FAA and look forward to the next several years of providing continued excellence, as the recipient of this BPA.

ELECTRICAL SAFETY STANDARDS TRAINING PROGRAM

N00189-16-D-0040; PRIME FIVE-YEAR IDIQ CONTRACT

On 29 September 2016, Onésimus Defense was selected as the sole-awardee for this five year IDIQ contract to provide curriculum development, management, training and certification for the US Navy's Electrical Safety Standards program of study. Working in concert with government safety engineers, this program culminates in four-day courses of instruction to educate, train and certify US Navy and Marine Corps personnel in all aspects of electrical safety, safety compliance, electrical hazard mitigation and safety program management. This programs combines and references the most current industry and government electrical safety data, drawn from within the Codes of Federal Regulations, the National Electrical Code, OSHA, the NFPA, and applicable US Navy Instructions, as it applies to both CONUS electrical systems and systems encountered in overseas locations.

COMPETENT PERSONS FOR FALL PROTECTION

UNITED STATES NAVY; NAVAL SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENTAL TRAINING CENTER (NAVSAFENVTRACEN)

On 04 February 2016, Onésimus Defense was awarded this prime, five-year IDIQ contract to provide Competent Persons for Fall Protection curriculum development, training and certification to the US Navy and US Marine Corps at training sites across the globe. Culminating in five-day courses of instruction, this holistic training program provides curriculum, training and certification to US Navy and Marine Corps personnel who will serve as their command’s Subject Matter Experts in fall protection program management and, site survey certifications, and will serve as the climbing / rescue resident experts. This program combines the latest and most up to date safety data from within the Codes of Federal Regulations (CFRs), OSHA, ANSI and the Navy’s own Department of Navy Fall Protection Guide (May 2015 ed.) to provide the US Navy and Marine Corps with their Competent Persons for Fall Protection at each of their globally dispersed ashore training facilities.

DTFAAC-15-P-04876 / DTFAAC-16-P-03044; PRIME ONE-YEAR SERVICE CONTRACT WITH FOLLOW-ON SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT CONTINUATION

On 25 June 2015, Onésimus Defense answered an emergent call from the FAA to provide Fall Protection Competent Persons certifications and Authorized Rescuer certifications to their agency’s radar and communications engineers, specialists, and technicians.  These five-day training evolutions provide all personnel with the basic-to-advanced skill sets required for fall protection, fall prevention, climbing and rescue mastery, specifically tailored to communications and NAVAID systems unique to the FAA.  Upon our team’s successful completion of this initial urgent request, Onésimus Defense has been the sole source recipient of follow-on training and certification programs for the FAA, since.  We are honored to be associated with this agency and look forward to many years of this partnering relationship.

On 03 September 2014, Onésimus Defense received notification of the subject contract award after responding to an emergent requirement identified during a recent government safety inspection. Having significant past performance in performing government compliant safety training programs, Onésimus Defense was able to immediately respond to the government’s unique requirements, propose a cost-effective solution to those requirements and mobilize our training team to their European location.

Fall Protection / Rescue Certification and Re-Certification Training

National Weather Service / National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NWS/NOAA)

On 18 July 2014, Onésimus Defense was awarded a prime contract to provide Fall Protection / Rope Rescue Certification and Re-certification Training to National Weather Service (NWS) personnel who climb and work at heights in the performance of routine maintenance and emergency repairs to equipment and instruments installed on meteorological, communication, and radar towers, around the globe.  Designed to instill safety, fall protection theory and to qualify individuals as “competent persons,” this 2.5-day training program begins with an introduction to fall protection systems, equipment, use and the proper procedures in which to perform required inspections, while complying with NWS-agency specific, ANSI / ASSE Z359 guidance, all applicable OSHA 29 CFR 1926 standards.

High Angle Rescue and Fall Protection Training

N00189-13-P-G18; prime four-year service contract

On 06 August 2013, Onésimus Defense was awarded a prime contract to provide High Angle Rescue and Fall Protection Training to 19 personnel from the Naval Computer and Telecommunications Area Master Station Atlantic.  This customer base of first responders and communications technicians are required to climb communications towers in excess of 1,000 ft. above ground level (AGL). This 3-day training program includes all aspects of rescue and fall protection procedures initiating with Competent Persons certification / recertification; Rescue Program Elements; Rope Theory and Knots; Secondary Systems (Rope Relay); Rope Relay Activities; Descent Control Theory; Descent Control Devices; Packaging for High Angle Rescue; Raising and Lowering Devices; Simple and Advanced Rescue Techniques; and culmination Rescue Scenario exercises.
