a victorious mommy moment!
Monday was double appointment day. Lincoln (and mom) got quite the workout! we had to do a weigh in and feed session at the pediatrician’s office and then again at the birth center a couple hours later. turns out we’re a great team and he is taking in quite a bit of milk with each feeding. hooray!
after our birth center appointment, my sister and I decided it would be fun to stop by Marshall’s on the way home. Lincoln was asleep with a full belly, so I figured this would be easy! I put him in the sling and into the store we went. not even 2 minutes later, a loud blowout occurred. I thought no problem, I’ll test out the contents of my diaper bag. I go to the bathroom only to discover no changing table! lovely.
I decided to go to the dressing rooms and ask the lady if they have a changing table. they didn’t, but she showed me to the family dressing room that had a medium sized bench. that would work! Lincoln was amazing and didn’t cry at all, even though I had to change his onesie he got dirty from the blowout, put the diaper and ALL the wipes in a plastic bag and of course sneak in a picture. he even let me try on 2 items afterwards!
I left feeling like a champion- I successfully changed my son’s huge blowout diaper not in the comfort of my own home! I would say I passed the diaper bag test with flying colors. I had everything I needed.
I think that was my official “welcome to mommyhood” moment!
